The theme for the NEA Fall 2008 meeting is Preservation. Preserving our collections in physical and digital form, across many types of media and with ever-changing technologies is one of the most daunting challenges archivists face today. The Program Committee is seeking suggestions from the membership for sessions, speakers, and topics for the Fall 2008 Meeting to be held at Simmons College in Boston, MA, November 14-15.
You may choose to suggest a topic you would like to present a paper on yourself, but we are also interested in hearing from you your suggestions of topics you would like to learn more about.
Please contact Program Committee Co-Chairs Donia Conn (dconn@nedcc. org) and Anne Sauer (anne.sauer@tufts. edu) with your suggestions or for further information.

Biannual Meetings: General Information
New England Archivists holds two, two-day meetings a year. The first day of each meeting generally consists of workshops, the Executive Board meeting, and a reception at a local archives or historical institution. The second day may include a keynote lecture, sessions consisting of several presented papers or roundtable discussions, a luncheon, and a closing reception. Tours of local institutions are usually available. The organization's annual meeting is held during the second day of the spring meeting. Session reports are printed in the issue of the NEA Newsletter that follows the meeting (usually the July and January issues).
For a complete list of past NEA meetings, including some programs, see NEA's Meetings: Past Programs.
NEA is always looking for New England archives interested in hosting a meeting. If you would like to showcase your institution in this fashion, please fill in a session form and forward to the NEA President.
