The Archival Advocacy Award was presented to the Northeast Document Conservation Center. The Distinguished Service Award was presented to Jane Ward.

NEA Announces Increased Partnerships with Allied Organizations

Over the past few months, NEA has made a concentrated effort to try and build better and stronger partnerships with our allied organizations. And the hard work is starting to pay off! Today we are excited to officially announce our new partnership with The National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators (NAGARA). So be on the lookout for announcements about upcoming NAGARA events.

NEA Rep-at-Large named to new SAA Regional Archival Associations Consortium Steering Committee

Congratulations to Tessa Beers on her election to the Regional Archival Associations Consortium (RAAC) Steering Committee. For more information on this new committee, check out the SAA website.

Editors-at-Large Appointed to New Journal

The NEA board is pleased to announce the appointment of William Ross (Professor and Head of the Milne Special Collections and Archives Department at the University of New Hampshire), James Roth (Deputy Director of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library), and Sarah Shoemaker (Director, University Archives & Special Collections, Brandeis University) as Editors-at-Large for the Journal of Contemporary Archival Studies. A collaboration between New England Archivists and the Yale University Library, the journal's aim is to further awareness of issues and developments in the work of professional archivists, curators, and historians, and serve as a locus for graduate students and professionals in library science, archival science, and public history to contribute original works of research and inquiry for peer-review and publication. NEA Announces Partnership with ARMA Boston

We are excited to announce a new partnership between NEA and ARMA Boston! Beginning in October, ARMA Boston will offer the ARMA Member Rate to NEA members who register for their events. In return, NEA will be offering the NEA Member Rate to ARMA Boston members who register for NEA events and workshops. Below is a complete list of the dates for the ARMA Boston events for the year.
