NEA taking the past into the future

Assessing the Records of NEA

2015-05-04 11:21 AM | Michelle Romero
Did you ever wonder how NEA's organizational records are managed? As archivists ourselves, we wanted to create an effective and efficient system to ensure the appropriate disposition of our records.

On March 4th, the NEA Board approved a new records schedule for the organization. The schedule is media neutral and applies to all records created and received during the process of conducting the business of NEA. You will find a PDF of the records schedule on the NEA website (under the "About NEA" side navigation).

Thank you to Abby Cramer, Joanie Gearin, Juliana Kuipers, Veronica Martzahl, Adrienne Pruitt, and Jill Snyder who worked hard to put this all together. To insure that the new schedule is smoothly implemented, we have established a Records Schedule Implementation Task Force.
