New England Archivists (NEA) invites submissions of session proposals for our Spring Meeting, to be held March 14-16, 2024, in Providence, Rhode Island.

*The deadline for proposals is December 8, 2023.*

Call for Volunteers for Fall 2024

The NEA Executive Board is seeking a chair or co-chairs for the Fall 2024 Meeting Program Committee. Could that be you? The leader(s) we’re seeking are:

• Looking for an opportunity to make a positive impact in the profession.
• Excited about helping to shape NEA’s future.
• Able to inspire and lead a great team of volunteers.
• A strong communicator.
• Creative and innovative.
• Organized, capable of managing details while keeping sight of the big picture.
• Committed to making events in our profession inclusive, welcoming, and accessible to all.

As Program Committee Chair, you’ll collaborate with the Board, standing committee chairs, and your committee members to develop a vision for the Fall 2024 Meeting and bring that vision to life. The meeting theme, program, and logistics will take shape with your leadership, while Board members and volunteers across NEA contribute ideas and support. We know that it’s a tough time for service and taking on a new volunteer role is a big step. But if this message has sparked your interest even a bit, we hope you’ll reach out. We’d love to chat with you about the role of Fall 2024 Program Committee Chair and help you determine if it’s an opportunity you’d like to pursue.
