The New England Archivists work closely with organizations serving affiliated professionals including libraries, town and city clerks, museums, historic preservation groups, historical societies, genealogy organizations, and other groups whose missions overlap with ours. NEA consistently attempts to identify potential areas of collaboration, including joint or reciprocal educational opportunities, and advocacy on important issues for which pooled resources may make a larger impact.
The following is a list of allied groups and organizations with whom the New England Archivists, and its members, actively participate in:
Academy of Certified Archivists
Association for Information and Image Management New England (AIIM New England)
ARMA International (ARMA)
Boston Knowledge Management Forum (Boston KM Forum)
International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC)
Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference (MARAC)
National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators (NAGARA)
New England Museum Association (NEMA)
Society of American Archivists (SAA)
